Egypt is in the final of the AFCON after scoring all their penalties. This is the third time Egypt played into extra time and then rounded up in penalties.

Egypt booked their place in Sunday’s final against Senegal after substitute goalkeeper Gabaski made two crucial saves in the penalty shootout to send out the hosts Cameroon. This is a huge heartbreak for AFCON hosts Cameroon as Egypt wins semi-final penalty shootout to book final showdown with Senegal as Liverpool pair Mo Salah and Sadio Mane prepare to face off on the biggest stage of all!

Both teams played with determination, with several shots but missing the targets.

That last Egypt chance was absurd. Sobhi diddled Tolo with ease, dropping a shoulder to reach the right-hand edge of the six-yard box. Sobhi then fizzed a mid-height cross towards Trezeguet, Zizo, and Fotouh, all six yards out. You could have thrown a blanket over them.
